The Austin ASIS Chapter would like to invite you to our monthly lunch meeting on Thursday November14th, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.  Our guest speaker is Detective Shawn Green with the Austin Police Department.  In the past several years, members of the Austin Police Department Robbery Unit identified a need to increase education to financial institutions about the shift in bank related crimes. What used to be a market that strictly involved Bank Robberies has evolved to a number of new criminal trends, with particular changes arising during and following COVID.  This presentation will help to encourage discussion and collaboration and provide general education about these new bank trends and what you can do to help prevent becoming a victim of these crimes.

Detective Green has had an extensive career in law enforcement.   After serving 14 years with the Bangor, Maine Police Department,  Detective Green accepted a position with the Austin Police Department in 2014 where he has worked in various assignments including patrol, the North Metro Tactical Unit and as Robbery  Detective.
