The Chapter 179 leadership team invites you to join us for the May Chapter meeting.  Due to social distancing requirements we will be hosting this meeting virtually via Zoom, and will be joined by this month's featured speaker Ronald Mendell with Western Governors University.  This month's topic will center around the ever increasing imporant realm of cybersecurity and the challenges and trends emerging more and more as our lives evolve online.

Ronald Mendell holds a B.S. degree in Liberal Studies (Humanities) from the University of the State of New York, an M.S. degree in Network Security from Capitol Technology University, and he has done additional graduate study in criminal investigation and forensics at National University. He holds a current CISSP. In the past, Ron taught Information Security for six years at Austin Community College, worked as a legal investigator and as a private investigator for thirteen years, and worked as a Technical Client Analyst for fifteen years, troubleshooting databases for CDK Global. Presently, Ron teaches Information Security in the IT College of Western Governors University since 2016.  His books include: Probing into Cold Cases (on digital and physical investigations), The Quiet Threat (about industrial espionage), How To Do Financial Asset Investigations, and The Devious Counselor – A Dialogue on Information Security.
